Machine Tool Probes

With Renishaw’s machine tool probes for component setting and inspection tool, can improve the efficiency of your machine tools. Machine probing systems on CNC lathes and CNC machines can be used to identify and set up parts, measure feature incycle for adaptive machining, monitor workpiece surface condition, and verify finished component dimensions.

RMP40 RADIO TRANSMISSION PROBE

The RMP40 is the world’s smallest frequency hopping radio spindle probe. With its operation in the 2.4 GHz ISM band, the RMP40 can be used on machines of any size. For multi-tasking applications in which line-of-sight between probe and interface cannot always be maintained, the RMP40’s robust transmission protocol and small body make it the ideal choice.

For workpiece inspection and job set‑up on multi‑tasking machines, machining centres and gantry machining centres. The RMP60 is a compact spindle probe with radio signal transmission which offers automated part set-up and in-cycle gauging on machining centres, including 5-axis machines.

OMP40 OPTICAL TRANSMISSION PROBE

For workpiece inspection and job set-up on small to medium machining centres and small multi‑tasking machines. The OMP40-2 is an ultra-compact 3D touch-trigger probe with optical signal transmission. It is used for workpiece set-up inspection on small to medium machining centres, and on the growing number of high-speed machines fitted with small HSK and spindle tapers.
